I am a music specialist and the music I write is original, tested on children and for the less confident teacher. My aim is to provide you with everything you need to fulfil Topic requirements and those of the National Curriculum (without having to prepare anything.) I provide Power Points/videos and give you mp3s and lyrics. Notation is sometimes given. The instrumental parts are dead easy!

Video with music showing Mary and Joesph traveling to Bethlehem and scenes from the future are interspersed with this. I have edited the original video whose web link is above because there was one part which was not suitable for primary children. The video could be used as a stimuli in lessons or played as the children walk into Assembly. The song sung by Clay Aiken is beautiful

This popular music is used for calming and focusing the children at any time of the day. I use it as the children enter Assembly.. The images and music are interspersed with snippets of information to keep the children focused. The music is on a loop. I have cut the full performance . The link to RE is 'Special Places' and to- P H S E - Music is an incredible way to soothe jagged emotions. File must be viewed in slide mode

The monks of Lindisfarne.Gregorian chants

PowerPoint works in conjunction with the videos in downloads..Using the Viking raids as a starting point, the PowerPoint looks at the chanting of monks from Benedictine to the modern Gregorians. Both videos are very soothing and can be played as a standalone resource before Assemblies or in a quiet time of the day. The work concludes with a little leaflet that is a response to the music. Mix and match! Web addresses to these source materials are included.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them. The 'Ode of Remembrance' is an ode taken from Laurence Binyon's poem 'For the Fallen', which was first published in The Times in September 1914.
